July talk :Freedom Stories, Film Screening and Public Discussion
Architects for Peace and RMIT Art and Public Space are pleased to present Freedom Stories - a documentary film that tells the stories of 12 women, men and children who came to Australia as ‘boat people’, lived in detention and, were eventually allowed to settle in Australia to have a place to call home. These stories illustrate the search and fight for freedom, peace and the universal right to a home, in it’s most human definition.
This film screening and public discussion welcomes guests to comment on the film and reflect on their meaning of home in a world where moving home and temporary home may be stressful. Where do built environment professionals appropriately and meaningfully respond?
